Sheldon Baker - Lead Guitarist
Began his musical odyssey
at the age of twelve in a small town outside of Pittsburgh, Pa. Became serious about his craft in the service when he was stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi while in the service. After many inspiring bus trips to New Orleans he became influenced by the various blues musicians on Bourbon Street and in the Quarter. Not long after this, Sheldon received his orders to go to Southeast Asia to serve in the Viet Nam conflict. After serving two consecutive tours in the region, he returned home, and after being discharged spent some weeks in the Haight Ashbury part of the city, and credits this experience as the driving force behind his long-term commitment to music. He says, "I was completely overwelmed by coming home. Both musically and politcally." He entered college when he returned home to Pittsburgh and describes his status at that time as, "A musician undergoing a learning process!" Eventually, he was involved with many bands and played alot of clubs throughout his career. As many guitarists of this time he found David Gilmour to be in his words "a cut above the rest." Through careful study and years of work he finally decided to play this material as a staple of his career. He separates Gilmour from other guitarists and says, "He takes you away to some other place, another time. He makes you time travel!" After kicking it around for years he has finally found that place where he wants to be musically. He says, "I'm one of luckiest musicians you'll find. I get to play the music I love the most, as much as I want, with the musicians I want to perform with. In this business that situation is hard to find."
"Peepson" - Drums and Percussion
Started playing drum when he was a junior in high school and hails from Donora, Pa. He says, "One thing great about those early days is I jammed with older dudes who always had a keg of beer in the fridge! Even though we didn't play very well it didn't matter by the end of the night!" His first set of drums were a five piece Cosmic Percussion set that he got by using "my Mom's visa." He learned by playing to tunes on the radio. He was able to buy his first set of drums 'Jet Black Pearl Exports' with money he made at a local pizzeria. Not long after that he replaced the original set with newer Pearl's and added Roto-Toms to his setup. He was able to find his first band by giving one of the local guitarists free pizza and has never looked back. They wrote an original tune titled 'Fable Blue' and this became the name of his first band. In his career he has played in a whole host of different bands which have done originals and covers. Some of them were Stars and Bars, Final Tyme, and later Azmyth. As fate would have it he met some guys in a band were working on a Pink Floyd project and performing at a benefit where his band was own band was playing. He says, 'It blew me away, Pink Floyd all night long, now that's really cool." The band was in the process of reforming so Sheldon asked him if he would like to jump on board. 'It clicked immediately', he says. And the new band Obscured By Pink was born. To this date "Peepson" has been the rythmic soul of Obscured By Pink and is looking forward to a long future with the band.
Rich Fundy - Piano, Keyboards, and Hammond Organ
Rich began playing keyboards in 1974 when he was 13 years of age. Originally he was learning to play guitar, but the influence of progressive rock groups suchas Emerson, Lake, & Palmer, Yes, Genesis, and of course Pink Floyd, opened his mind to a new thing - the synthesizer and keyboards! He started playing in his first band in 1978 in Staten Island, NY, which is where he grew up. From that time on, Rich was in many bands in the New York City & New Jersey area, playing material consisting of typical covers to all original material. Today, Rich is a single parent of two, and the responsibility of raising his children on his own had put a damper on him playing in bands for most of the last ten years; but now he has "sanded off the rust" and is back in the scene, joining forces with OBP in 2007. And, he states, "I'm like fine wine, and have improved with age!" Rich plans to be with Obscured By Pink for the long haul. Another member adds, "As long as we can keep those loonies off the path!"
Tommy Karol - Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Baritone Sax - Flute

Tommy has had a wide ranging career in music starting from a very early age a carrying on to the present day. He has played all types and genres of music from jazz to modern rock. He hails from Donora, Pa. and has lived there most of his life. The number of bands and recordings he has been part of are too numerous to mention; however, after a long musical journey he feels he has come full circle. "I just feel that I've found the place where I wan't to finish," he states. Just like David Gilmour says in On An Island, "where we start is where we end." For alot of people Tommy's age it all started with Pink Floyd. After jamming with Sheldon Baker on and off for many years, but never really working on a project together, they met again at a small club outside of Pittsburgh, Pa. where a benefit was being held. Many local musicians were in attendance and Sheldon began to play some Dark Side of the Moon tunes. Davey was there to sing them with 'Peepson' on drums and Rich Fundy on keys. Tommy decided to join in and they just all "clicked." Later Tommy asked "what's with the Floyd stuff?" He was told about the project they were working on and they asked Tommy if he would be interested in handling the horn passages. It was too good to be true he said, "Who wouldn't want to play the sax parts to Pink Floyd? They are some of the most defined parts ever recorded." He continues, "It all was chance, fate I guess. Sheldon and I had jammed before; but not this!" Since that night Tommy has carried the load for Obscured By Pink. His attention to detail has had a very positive effect of the presentation of the music. As Rich has stated, "It would be very hard to function without him; I'm glad he's here." Well, Tommy's here and so is Obscured By Pink. The last 'band' in a long career.
